Day 2 | Tarangire National Park
After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, begin your journey through Northern Tanzania as you drive to
Tarangire National Park with a private vehicle and guide. Tarangire is renowned for its elephant population, you'll find
huge herds here. The Silale Swamp acts like a sponge during the rainy season, and slowly releases the water during
the dry season, the result is a mass influx of wildlife to Tarangire over the dry season (June - September). The park
has a really unique landscape, and an abundance of baobab trees (not easily found anywhere else in northern
Tanzania). It's also the only park on the northern circuit where night drives are permitted, so you get the chance to
see some of Tanzania's nocturnal animals (porcupines, genets, civets, bush babies, and much more) Exploring the
park with your own private vehicle and guide means you can control the pace and direction of your safari. Your
wonderful guide can help you maximize your safari experience.

Depart from the lodge and head to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is dominated by the lake of the same
name, which attracts large colonies of water birds. Particularly impressive are the pink-colored flamingos, but also
many other bird species such as cormorants, pelicans or storks can be observed here. A total of about 400 different
bird species live in the park. The park is also famous for its tree climbing lions, which are usually found in the central
and open part of the park. During the safari you will also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and many
other animal species. In the late afternoon you leave and head back to the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge for dinner
and overnight.

Day 4 | Lake Manyara - Serengeti Central Plain
We'll begin the day with the scenic drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way we'll pass through the mist-shrouded
rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to glimpse cape buffalo, baboons,
or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth. Maasai people called this park 'Siringiti', meaning endless
plains. The Serengeti speaks for itself and with good reason not only the migration of over 1 million wildebeest
through its plains and woodlands but also unique landscapes and other spectacular wildlife. Leave and head back to
Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today we will leave very early in the morning (after a very early breakfast) and rive to the floor of the Ngorongoro
Crater. There we will have a full day game drive, as we will be carrying our picnic lunch with us. The Crater is
wonderful place - you descend more than 2,000 feet on steep tracks cut into the crater wall to reach the open plains

large prides of lion that include magnificent black-manned males. It is also home to huge herds of wildebeest and
