Day 1 | Arrival-JRO-Kilimanjaro Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by member of the Expect in Africa Safari team who will transfer
you by road to your hotel.
Lying on the gently rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever-present Mount Meru is the bustling and vibrant
town of Arusha. It is here on the outskirts of this town, hidden amongst one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations,
that you will find Arusha Coffee Lodge, a perfect haven for relaxation either before or after any East African safari.
Comprising of 30 Plantation Houses that radiate out into the evergreen coffee fields, Arusha Coffee Lodge has been
designed around the original landowner’s home that dates back to the early 1900’s.

Day 2 | Fly to Northern Serengeti National Park
Following an early breakfast, we will transfer to Arusha airport for flight Kogatende to camp in the Northern Serengeti. flight will take approximately 1 & 45 hour, upon landing in the Serengeti, we will be greeted by our guides and begin our safari adventure, as we journey to our camp for lunch and ready ourselves for our first afternoon safari.
Mara River Camp boasts a location second to none. Just a mere 10 minutes from the legendary Mara River, our camp
offers guests an unparalleled proximity to nature’s most mesmerizing spectacles. The river itself is famed as the
backdrop to the dramatic annual wildebeest migration crossings, an event that has captured the imagination of
many. But it’s not just the migration that makes our location special; the rich tapestry of wildlife, from majestic lions
to graceful gazelles, is a constant presence.

Days 3, 4, 5 | Photography- Northern Serengeti
We will continue to explore the northern areas of the Serengeti, from the Mara River to the rolling hills of the
northern plains we will focus on photographing the game that is unique to this area. If luck is on our side, we will
also have a chance to capture a river crossing, as the wildebeest and zebra return to Tanzania from Kenya.
At Mara River Camp, the sounds of the wild beckon at your doorstep, and the vastness of the Serengeti unfolds
before your very eyes. Our strategic location ensures that guests are always at the heart of the action, with minimal
transit times to key viewing spots. Yet, amidst all this wilderness, the camp offers comfort, serenity, and a deep
connection with nature. Whether you’re a seasoned safari-goer or a first-timer, Mara River Camp promises an

Days 6,7 | Photography -Serengeti Plain
During this time, we will cover as much of the Central Serengeti as we can. Big cats that is what has made the
Serengeti famous, Lion, leopard, and cheetah, will be our focus while in this very productive area. Again, you can
expect to be up early and returning to camp in the evening, or as conditions warrant.
Set gracefully alongside the serene banks of the Ngarenanyuki River in Central-Eastern Serengeti, Serengeti Sametu
Camp emerges as a testament to the delicate balance of opulence and the untamed spirit of Tanzania’s vast plains.

Days 8,9 | Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Explore the range of different habitats that include swamps, woodland, soda lakes and the world-famous
Serengeti short grass plains. See great herds of wildebeest and zebra. During a short time, frame around
February, normally lasting for about 3 weeks, the majority of the wildebeest calve. The sea of grass provides little
cover and the young are easy pickings for a variety of predators. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they are
born and within 3 days, they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herd. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like
most of the other Rift lakes; however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife.

DAY 10 | Photography - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
In the morning after an early breakfast, you will be one of the first vehicles descending the six hundred meters into
Ngorongoro Crater for superb game viewing with picnic lunch boxes. The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural enclosure
supporting 20,000-30,000 animals at any one time making it virtually a Noah's ark and inhabiting almost every
species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. The Crater is considered one of the natural wonders of the world
and has the highest densities of predators in Africa such as lions, hyenas and leopards. It is also one of the best
places in Africa to see the endangered black rhino.

Days 11,12 | Photography - Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is a less visited park but offers superb birding and wildlife viewing opportunities
throughout the year. The landscapeis primarily open savanna dotted with Acacia woodland and large Baobab
trees. The park is a dry season refuge when large numbers of migratory wildlife such as elephants, zebras,
gazelles, wildebeest, eland, oryx, and buffalo concentrate around permanent water. Elephants congregate in herds
of up to 600 animals, and the large numbers of game animals attract numerous lions. During November through
February the plains turn green, and numerous wildebeest and zebra are dropping young.
Over 550 species of birds have been recorded in the park, some of which are best seen there. Noteworthy among
those are the African endemic Yellow-collared Lovebird, Red-throated Tit, Northern Pied-Babbler, and Ashy
Starling.

Around 9am we will start our journey back to Arusha. Stop at cultural heritage for lunch and an optional shopping,
and then drive to the hotel for a day use room before driving to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
