This cultural safaris, let you walk and live with the Maasai, visit their traditional bomas (settlements), traditional medicine walks, hunting with the Hadzabe bushmen, gather roots and seeds with the Datoga women. This trip will also give you a chance to explore the famous National Parks, Serengeti National park(Home of migration trails), Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park.

Lake Eyasi – the Hadzabe and Datoga

Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a couple of hours drive from Karatu. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western Great Rift Valley wall, bordered by the Eyasi Escarpment in the northwest and the Kidero Mountains in the south.

  1. Day-1 Arrive in Tanzania

    Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to Hotel in Arusha for overnight stay and relaxation.

  2. Day-2 Arusha - Masai Village -Maasai Tribe

    Breakfast then drive to Masai Village, here we will spend a day to learn about the Masai daily activities. The Masai people are nomadic herders of cattle. The women adorn themselves in brightly colored handmade beaded collars and the men, in their distinctive cloth, will often showcase their amazing jumping prowess for visitors. Learn their daily life, also you will have goat BBQ at the village,

  3. Day-3 & 4 Lake Eyasi, the Hadzabe, Datoga tribes

    After breakfast, drive to lake eyasi with picnic lunch. In some ways similar to the Amish, a handful of tribes in Tanzania have resisted modernization and for the most part remain traditional. Hadzabe: Near Lake Eyasi, the Hadzabe, Datoga tribes those a small tribe who remain hunters and gatherers and speak a click language. It is important to visit them and learn about their culture, they will show you how to make a fire without matches and take you on a hunt with bows and arrows. Also group will have opportunity to visit Lake Natron for Sunset Photo.

  4. Day-5&6 Lake Natron

    Drive to  Lake Eyasi to Lake Natron the dramatic landscape is dotted with many of Tanzania’s most recognizable landmarks, such as Ol Doinyo Lengai and Gelai volcanic mountain, a 9652-foot peak located at the southeast edge of the lake. To the west is the site where a perfectly preserved hominid jaw and teeth, known as the “Peninj mandible” was found.

  5. Day-7 to 8 Enjoy the Serengeti Plain

    Spent exploring the park in search of the Big -5 Dinner and overnight stay at Mobile Tented Camp, Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park it is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous, April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat.

  6. Day-9 Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro Crater

    We view game as we drive southeast up into the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation .Full afternoon crater tour followed by dinner and overnight stay at Karatu Village. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago.

  7. day-10 Visit Tarangire National Park

    After breakfast, game drive enroute for Tarangire National Park. In the afternoon you’ll be taken on a game drive through the park. Many of the animals congregate around the only source of permanent water in the park, the Tarangire River.

  8. Day-11 Depart

    Drive back to Arusha there will be an opportunity to stop at the Cultural Heritage Center {Tanzanite game stone which founded only in Tanzania} for some shopping before getting Kilimanjaro International Airport, followed by a wonderful lunch. Prior to transport to the Airport, a day room will be provided for you to freshen up, repack, and ready yourself for your journey homeward.
